Just in from Google Alerts:

Google Blogs Alert for: Supernatural

Supernatural Goodness
By Katy(Katy)
I caved yesterday and ordered the Supernatural Magazines and the Supernatural 2008 Calendar. So. Is it 2008 yet?
I'm gonna smile my best smile - http://katysam.livejournal.com/

Dudes. How exactly do these Google things work? Is it the heading of the post? Because if it is I'll have to be more careful. I'm sure everyone who has 'Supernatural' as a Google Alert - Hey! I refuse to believe I'm the only one - is really interested in the fact that I just purchased the calendar and magazines. *facepalm*

A thousand apologies to my fellow Google Alerters *g*
Anyone want to buy a hospital? It's not just any hospital, you know.

Wandin Valley Bush Nursing Hospital is up for sale!

Located in the Hawkesbury Valley in New South Wales 'Clare House' was used as the exterior as that well known hospital on A Country Practice many many moons ago.

Funny. I thought it burnt down in the final episode. Wait. What do you mean 'It wasn't real'? Shut up. It totally was!

Wonder if I won Powerball tonight.

You learn the wackiest things from Google Alerts. Seriously, I'm adding a brand-new tag and there may even be Google-Alert-related-creative-user-icon-making in my near future.

Last night I received an Alert about the Mars for Bars campaign. Although the TV Show Veronica Mars was 'kind of officially' cancelled (long story including something about missing years and the FBI) a couple of weeks ago it hasn't deterred the show's fans in trying to get the show brought back for a fourth season this fall.

The idea of the campaign is for fans to send thousands of Mars Bars and Mars Bar wrappers to Dawn Ostroff, President of The CW Television Network, showing the huge amount of support there is out there for the show.

Sweet!

I can't help but wonder what the Supernatural fandom would have come up with had it been necessary. *touches wood* Hundreds of '67 Matchbox ImpalasHundereds and thousands of little packets of salt? Hopefully, if such a campaign is required in the future... *touches wood again and throws salt over left shoulder just to be sure* ...someone can think of something a little better.  But I do kind of like the salt idea...

I subscribe to a couple of Google Alerts. Well, OK then, more then a couple.

My list includes: "Supernatural", "X-Files", "Jensen Ackles", "Jared Padalecki", "Eric Kripke", "Veronica Mars", "Ten Inch Hero" & "Melbourne Storm"

POP QUIZ: Which one of the above is not the same? (Wasn't that an old Sesame Street game - I seem to remember a sickly sweet little song to play it too... or was it Romper Room?)

Most of the time it's great getting the alerts. You get the latest and greatest news on each topic and great links to a wealth of wonderous information.

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki alerts... )

For Eric Kripke (creator of Supernatural)... )

Ten Inch Hero alerts... )

I have to admit I gloss over the Melbourne Storm ones... )

And some of the time, Google alerts can get just plain repetative.

A couple of weeks ago I was getting a Jared Padalecki email alert what seemed like every 15 minutes... )

Veronica Mars alerts for the past three weeks... )

Finally there are my X-Files alerts... )
