1) Not only is Tuesday Pig 'n a Poke day--which incidentally is aka a sausage in a pancake (Thanks,
angieb5!)--it's also CHUCK day! And thanks to our new super duper fast internet connection I was able to download episode 2x03, and 2x03 of Californication, in less than an hour and a half! \O/
2) Sometimes I feel bad about downloading TV shows but when the alternative is having to wait for a local station here to air them I think to hell with it. It used to be we had to wait at least 6+ months before we saw new shows--our new TV season used to start in February. But these days stations here are 'fast tracking' more and more shows and some, like Supernatural, are only two episodes behind (still too far behind for my liking), however, others, like Chuck and Pushing Daisies, are a full season behind now. We're still waiting for those two little gems to make it to the telly down under.
3) I downloaded Google Chrome last week and I rather like it. It seems a wee bit faster than both IE and Firefox and a little less cluttered somehow. One downside I've found so far is that I can't see my LJ header pic with it. I can see the pic just fine in IE but it doesn't show up in Chrome or, as it turns out, Firefox. Guess I should look at fixing that sometime soon. It's about time I changed my theme anyhow...
4) I've been watching Supernatural and I've loved every episode so far--the odd numbered ones more so than the even-- but I haven't been posting about it. It's not that I don't want to post about it but I end up reading all these insightful and wonderful reviews and I'm left thinking I've got nothing except knowing what I love, like, and don't really much care for. The same thing goes for icons. By the time I get a chance to sit down and think about making icons there have already been so many brilliant posts and I'm sure everyone is icon'd out and I feel there can't possibly be anything I can add. *sigh*
I should probably just suck it up on both counts and stop making excuses. *facepalm* :)
5) My brother has just recommended I watch, True Blood. I know I've seen a few posts on my flist about the show but I can't remember where. Anyone watching it?
6) I'm on my own at work tomorrow so I'll either, a) Get a ton of work done or b) get very little done at all. ;)
7) Happy Tuesday!

4. I would love to see these episodes through your artful eye. :D
5. I'm watching it. It makes me giggle.

2) It kind of sucks. Fancy not having Chuck! *points to icon* :D
4) I'm going to give some icons a shot. Soon. This weekend soon.
5) I've watched part of the first episode and it's not quite what I expected, which is kind of silly because I knew nothing about so I'm not sure what I was expecting. *facepalm*
6. Didn't get much PLURK! time in today. I had a high severity incident around lunch time so it was kind of busy after that.

2. A fangirl's gotta do what a fangirl's gotta do.
4. I'm loving this season!! But I wanted Sam to smack Dean back. Not that he would, but Dean deserved it.
5. I've seen the first episode and I liked it, but I don't get HBO.
6. I'm working from home today and nothing is getting done. *facepalm*
7. Happy Tuesday/Wednesday!!

2) Too right. *nods*
4) Dean was being a little harsh on Sam but Sam shouldn't have lied to him. I'm not trusting Sammy at the moment. :( And Dean only wants to protect his little brother. I don't think this is the last altercation we'll see between the boys, and I suspect next time Sam may just fight back ... and not necessarily with his fists, if you know what I mean. *insert special powers here* Dean ain't gonna know what hit him!
5) I'm going to give True Blood a shot.
6) Let me guess? One word--PLURK! ;)
7). Happy Wednesday!

5. I really like True Blood. I'm not Anna Paquin's biggest fan, but I really like her in the show. It certainly is interesting. Beware there is a lot of sexual content (nothing hardcore or anything, but it does air on HBO here) so don't watch it with your parents or anything, lol

I agree with you about it depends on what you do with the downloads. The majority of the the stuff I download, I end up purchasing on DVD anyway. The other thing I try to do is watch it on TV when it does eventually air. It's not that I help with the ratings personally, but I like to think I am :)
5) Anna Paquin is very different in this show from anything I've seen her in. I almost didn't recognise her at first. Thanks for the heads up about the content! I think it took me all of about 10 minutes to figure out it was a 'cable' show. Haha! I haven't watched all of the first episode yet but I'm going to give it a shot.

(SPN s3 came in the mail today actually \o/)
4. This from a bonafied icon addict: there can never be enough icons! *firm nod* Also, I love reading people's reaction posts.
5. True Blood is kind of a let down for me, but I may have had very high expectations. It's not bad, though. It's a cracky, southern, thrash vamp porn kind of thing. Best just check it out for yourself, but give it more than the first episode to go on.

4) Haha! Never too many icons--I'll keep that in mind :)
5) I've only watched part of episode 1. It seems interesting enough, and I love the premise. I'll make sure I give it a shot by watching a couple of episodes. Thanks :)

yeah I know what you mean about the reviews and the icons, my reviews are always like omg boys *flails* anyways *head desk*
and you should make icons Im sure they would rock :p
hmm Ive heard mixed things about true blood, I think it might be the tv version of twilight so to speak, if that helps
I say go for option b :p
love you!

I love reading 'OMG BOYS!' posts as much as I enjoy reading the extremely meta...ish posts :D I love that our show can be appreciated on so many different levels ;)
Hmmm, I should at least give them a shot. Word around the campfire is there's even a community for me to post to. *facepalm*
I still haven't read Twilight... First half of the first episode seems okay though.
I went for a balanced diet of somewhere between a) and b) \O/
Love you too.

1) Chuck is awesome!! I love that show, and him, sooo much! I haven't checked out any of the new season of Californication yet, but I enjoyed S1. DD is the bomb. I'm pretending I never heard about his rehab thing, I don't want to think about that.
2) I wouldn't feel bad when there isn't any way to purchase them that you're circumventing. I used to download Smallville because I didn't have a DVR and it wasn't available anywhere online. Now I buy it from iTunes. I'm sure the people who make your shows would be happy and flattered to know how badly you want to see them.
3) I have a Mac, and I just use Safari. I'm a technoboob who lives in fear of screwing something up. But I like Safari, so it's all good. :)
4) I would love to hear what you love, like, and don't really much care for. Although I often suck at commenting when I get busy at work, as you well know. I'd also love to see icons from you, but only if inspiration strikes and you feel like it. :)
5) If I try to add one more show to my list I will have to quit my job to watch TV full time. :)
6) Been there, done that. I always seem to pick b. *is a bad employee*
7) It's Tuesday here for 10 more minutes, but I see that it's dinner time on Wednesday where you are. So Happy Wednesday!

1) I love Chuck! He's been making me a little sad at the end of these past couple of episodes though. Californication S2 is off to a great start. From the beginning of S1 I've had this theory that DD isn't acting in it... he's just playing himself. With his rehab stint, I think I may have been closer than I realised ;)
2) Good point about not having it available for download. We've only just got TV shows on iTunes, and even then there's only a handful available. We certainly can't get Supernatural.
3) Hey, Apple suggested I download Safari just this evening, along with an update for iTunes, Quicktime, etc... Perhaps I should try that too. I'm sure one can never have too many browers ;)
4) Finding the inspiration is the problem at the moment. But it's been so long since I've made any I'm also finding it a little daunting to get started ;)
5) LOL! It's great that there are so many good shows around to watch. :)
6) I ended up somewhere between a) and b) today. ;)
7) Happy Wednesday!
