Hey, Tuesday! Pig 'n a Poke!

☀ I've been a bad LJ friend lately. I'm so sorry about that. :( I've read all your posts but haven't had a chance to comment. Expect me to pop in and randomly comment to your posts from the past four or five days, 'k. :)


☀ I've only got three or four more days of house sitting left and then I'm back home with a regular internet connection. \O/ I'll be able to see photo and icon posts, and videos, and all those good things I've been missing out on for the past 7 weeks. Yay!


☀ Melbourne Storm are still in the NRL Finals. We played in a sudden death semi-final on Saturday night against the Brisbane Broncos. A Rugby League Game is 80 minutes long. At the beginning of the 80th minute we were trailing 10-12. But somehow we managed to get the ball back and score with about 30 seconds left on the clock! Final score Brisbane 12 Melbourne Storm 14. We live to fight another week. We play the Cronulla Sharks on Friday night but we may be without a few players due to suspensions and injuries. *bites nails more than usual*


☀ Friday morning at work we are having a 'Footy Finals Fiesta'. It's the AFL Grand Final on the weekend and work!bff and I decided we needed to celebrate it. Or rather I may have told him we needed to celebrate it and he may just being going along with it. ;) It's kind of funny because I don't even follow AFL! (The NRL Grand Final isn't until the following weekend) I just like the idea of people getting together and enjoying themselves at work.

We ran the idea passed our manager last week and he was all over it. He thought is was a brillant idea. Katy FTW!!! Anyway, we are having a handball competition, running a betting sheet on who's going to win the Grand Final, and we're going to eat food. We also added sonething about decorating your desk / work area with your team colours but so far only work!bff and I have done that. Oh, well, you can only try. I like to think I'm doing my part for team morale.


☀ I discovered plurk today. I've seen whimsywinx and bananabehr talking about and since I was at work by myself today so I thought I'd take a little look. *is sneaky* Verdict: Fun and possibly addictive. As if I need another distraction on the internet... I can't even keep up with LJ! Thanks whimsywinx and bananabehr for making me feel welcome over there. :)


☀ Have we all recovered from 4x01 yet? Only two more sleeps until 4x02!!!

The party went good.
But my team went gooder. *g*
Sotmr won 28-0 and are now in the Grand Final. Don't know what I was worried about.
I haven't had a chance to Plurk in the past three or four days. I dread to think how many updates/comments there are over there. *facepalm*

Way to go Storm! Kick the Sharks' tails! *snort* See what I did there?! I have tickets for the Wings on Friday. Pre-season, but hockey is hockey, dammit!

The Shark's tails (haha!) were well and truly kicked by the Storm boys. Final score Storm 28 Sharks 0!!! Grand Final, here we come.

Resisting Plurk may be a wise move. It's crazy over there. :)

I still think Lazarus Rising is amazing. I've lost count of the number of times I've watched it. I don't think I've watched an episode of SPN so much since WIAWSNB or AHBL2.

I've been back since Saturday but haven't had much of chance to do anything.
Did you see what Storm did on the weekend?!?!? I'm off to Sydney on Sunday for the NRL Grand Final. I'll be back at the site of SupaNova and the meeting of Jared Padalecki ;)
I wasn't really fussed on which team won. I was watching it with Geelong supporters so I was hoping they would win, but I don't mind Hawthorn either so I was happy to see it go either way. I always feel sorry for the losers though :( Poor Geelong.
Plurk is, umm, Plurk! *lol* It's kind of like a message board, I guess, with a pretty interface.
Yep, I'm working tomorrow (at least I think you're talking about tomorrow). Enjoy the movie :)
