My Supernatural Season 3 DVDs have shipped!!!
I got the email from Amazon just moments ago. \O/ \O/ \O/

Estimated delivery date says 'October 8, 2008'.

Amazon is still based in the USA, right? They haven't relocated to a remote jungle in Peru, accessible only by foot, or to the Moon, have they? I know I'm in a whole-nother-country but 36 days to get an itty bitty DVD here is kinda crazy. Fingers crossed it doesn't take that long and it'll get here before the 18th. I hope the fact that I also ordered the The Boy Who Could Fly DVD doesn't slow it's progress. ;)

Yep, we will for sure! I think they put a very conservative date so people don't bombard them with emails if they get delayed. Amazon are usually really quick - less than two weeks once they've shipped. :)
At least we know they are on their way! :D \O/

I see alot of Aussies are buying s3 off Amazon... I ordered mine from EZY DVD here in Aust and will get it on October 1st.

Nevermind.. earlier release date... *sigh* one of those days...

I did look at EZYDVD and if they were selling it a little cheaper I would have waited to got it from them but Amazon worked out better for me with the release date and price.

I love your icon! Is that the little kid from One Tree Hill? I'm not up to those episodes yet but he looks familiar.

What price are you getting it for from Amazon? I take it that it isn't PAL obviously.

It's US$36.99 from Amazon. Given the exchange rate and even factoring in postage it's cheaper than EzyDVD. I usually get other things to offset the postage a little. I'm not sure about PAL/NTSC on DVDs. I guess it's NTSC like the old USA videos. I do know it's Region 1 though, not Region 4, so you need a multi-region DVD player.

Usually once they do ship, parcels from Amazon arrive in less than two weeks. *fingers crossed*

I have it on my iPod but I haven't listened to it yet. I think I've got a few chapters in but it kind of depressed me because of the boys's relationship. *lol* I'm sure it's a happy ending but it's kind of angsty to start with. :)

I liked it, it wasnt what I expected but its a nice story and yeah theres angst and boys and they get happier I promise ;) and was not as long as I had thought (28 chapters of "snapshots" puts everything in prospetive lol)

I hate that DVDs from the USA take so long. I was really happy that they released the DVD in the UK earlier this year, so I could oder it there and it took only 3 days. I keep my fingers crossed that your DVD will arrive sooner!

Dude, I thought the exact same thing when I got my mail! My shipment includes OTH S5 and Gossip Girl too, and I thgt, if those Tree Hill folk and gossipy types are slowing my Winchesters down I'll be FURIOUS!

On one hand I wanted to make the most of the shipment by getting other things to offset the postage a little but then I didn't want to get anything which would delay my Supernatural DVDs. That would never do!

How good is it going to be watching episodes 1 through 16 without the distraction of those annoying watermarks covering 1/4 of the screen. Not to mention being able to watch all those extras! \O/

Amazon lies about their delivery dates. I'd be willing to bet an extra bag of Twizzlers that you have them before September 18th. They are just trying to cover their behinds.

Yeah, I think you're right. They put in a really conservative date so if it does get delayed for whatever reason, they don't have heaps of people contacting them saying 'where's my stuff!' I've got my fingers crossed for the end of next week. :)

Someone suggested they might be swimming it here. Perhaps that's what Ian Thorpe is doing for a living know he's retired from competitive swimming. Amazon straps a parcel to his back and he sets off across the Pacific Ocean ;)
