  1. Supernatural season two finale on Friday (or Thursday depending on which side of the planet you live on) totally rocked. Somehow they managed to create an 'ending' and a 'beginning' all in the space of 42 minutes. If season three was not to be, then Friday's episode would have been an extremely satisfying end. I would have been happy. But knowing there is a third season, Friday's ep was not only a great 'conclusion' but also a fantastic way set up for the next year. The countdown has began. The clock has started ticking - only 363 days of one year left. I still believe everything will be OK. I think.

    BEST. SEASON. FINALE. EVER.
(Or at least a very close third to the season five finale and season seven / series finale of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.)

  • Melbourne Storm won against the Roosters yesterday - 28-2. Nice win. With a lot of our players out due to State of Origin this week there were a lot of our junior squad playing. They did great and the not-so-young Billy Slater, who was unjustly overlooked by the Queensland selectors, had a blinder. Brilliant hip and shoulder by Billy on a Rooster's player right in front of us was a highlight of the night. Good stuff. Rugby League isn't a violent game. Honest.

  • This weekend I embarked on a quest to find some 'work' clothes. Grr Argh! Yesterday I made the mistake of going to DFO in Moorabbin. I hate the place so I don't know why I ever torture myself by going there. But for some reason at least once a year, I do. The Parking. The Crowds. The crap the shops sell. I did buy at least one piece of that crap - a jacket I so didn't need - so it wasn't a complete waste of time. This afternoon I gave in and went to Knox City. I was pleasantly surprised when, in contrast to yesterday's pitiful effort, I found lots of things I liked. My trip today was possibly verging on the point of being over successful. *grin*

  • This afternoon I think I shocked my poor little car, Brett, by giving him a thorough cleaning inside and out. Well the outside part mainly consisted of washing the windows and mirrors from a bucket because DROUGHT! Unfortunately, some water may have dribbled down on to his paintwork so I did have to wipe that off and some of the 24-months worth of road grime may have come off too. I was thrilled when I managed to remove the remnants of the 'Bright' sticker from the back window. Inside the car I vacuumed, dusted and removed any items not considered necessary for getting from Point A to Point B. Huge effort.

  • Work tomorrow. YAH! - not.

  • I've almost got rid of my cold. A real YAH! this time
