... and extremely close to an AWESOME day.
- While the boss is away the worker bees will play. Not really, but it sure makes for a much more pleasant working environment.
- Dallas Johnson had his high tackle charge downgraded last night at the NRL Judiciary and is all clear to play for Queensland in next week's opening State of Origin Game. AWESOME.
I was worried when he was placed on report during Monday's game but it's all good. After all, he didn't really mean to tackle the poor bloke around his next... it was an accident. I'm sure of it. - I bought a teeny tiny 2GB USB Flash Drive this evening.
Earlier in the week I discovered that my new(ish) TV/DVD combo thingy has a USB port and can play AVI files directly from a USB device attached to said USB port. AWESOME. Now, when Santa (or IPrimus) brings me ADSL2 for Christmas I can copy a file directly to the flash drive in approximately 30 seconds and watch it straight away. Sure beats messing about with DVDs. - Supernatural has been renewed for a third season... or has it? Yesterday, two sources - Variety and Hollywood Reporter - were claiming that The CW had given the green light to another full season (22 episodes) of cross country demon hunting with the Winchester Boys. Now, for as long as I can remember I've held this believe that if you hear a rumour from THREE unique sources, it's true. In addition to the Variety and Hollywood Reporter stories, I read another 'rumour' last week on a blog claiming to have inside information that the series had been re-newed. However, it was more of a "My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night..." kind of rumour so I don't think I'm going to count that one. I'll be waiting for the official word.
- Today is the day we will find out if the rumours mentioned above are really, really true. The CW Upfront is being held in New York today (Thursday New York time), starting in approximately 40 minutes. Seriously, I'm not a Supernatural Obsessed Geek or anything like. I mean, really! Doesn't EVERYONE know exactly where and when the CW Upfront is being held?
- One more sleep until I get to see the Season Finale of Supernatural. (Read: Season, not Series. I may be waiting for 'official word' but I can still be optimistic... cautiously optimistic.) At this point I'd like to repeat: I'm not a Supernatural Obsessed Geek or anything.
- Anna called to say she had read about a stage version of Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds being performed in Australia in September and she immediately thought of me. Something about me being a big sci fi spazz, I suspect. *grin* Needless to say, Mum, Dad and I... We've now got our tickets. AWESOME!
Today = good day.
