Ok, I'm starting to feel saddened about all this situation I'm in...it seems every people that watches SPN knows Kane too, are they related somehow? and, because I'm starting to become a little CURIOUS about the boy, where do I get to see some piece of him, just to know who he IS? Because SERIOUSLY, every fic that has got JA in, you can be sure there's CK too, lol. I've taken a liling for him in fanfiction and at first I didn't even know he was REAL! This must be sadder than you with the demonised water ;)
How funny is it that so many J2 fics have Christian Kane in them? It seriously cracks me up. *lol*
Christian Kane is, in fact, a very real person. He's an actor, probably best known for his role of Lindsey on 'Angel' (as in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Angel) which you probably wouldn't know since you don't like Buffy. :) He's also been in a few movies and other shows, none of which I've seen.
As well as being an actor, he can sing. Really sing!
Now, I don't know the full story of how Jensen and Christian know each other. They both had brief cameo appearances in a short movie called The Plight of Clownana" which, incidentally, Jensen also produced. If you haven't seen it and have a spare 15 minutes or so, check it out here. It's kind of bizarre! *nods*
Anyway, back to the story I know nothing about. What I do know is Jensen Ackles knows another singer by the name of Steve Carlson. How Jensen knows Steve Carlson is another mystery to me, but Jensen apparently sang backing vocals on some of the tracks on Steve's first two CDs.
Steve Carslon, in addition to releasing three solo albums, also formed a band called 'Kane' with Christian Kane. Steve and Christian only met in 1998 so I think maybe Jensen knows Christian through Steve. Steve and Jensen used to share a house/apartment at some stage so maybe that was around the time Steve met Christian.
'Kane' and Steve Carlson both perform Country Music and the Kane CDs are fantastic. Steve's CDs are too, but I'm really loving my 'Kane' music at the moment.
Oh wow! Well he's kind of cute, now I'm curious about his voice, do you have a song to pimp? Just to know how he sings...even if I think I've heard of them somewhere here in Italy. I watched Clownana, LOL...I was there all the time to spot Jensen, and when they come all masked with glasses I was like: 'OMG no, I waited all this time for this?', but I thought it was kinda cute, like those little movies you do with friends ;) They are adorable. And I understand the fascination with the pairing I guess, even if for me JDM/JA is the top ;) Thank you so much for the explanation!

Christian Kane is kind of cute :D I read JA/CK fics but they aren't my favourite either. There is a community called A Chris and Steve State of Mind. It has a lot of CK/SC fics and posts, but they are occasionally paired with JA or even JP.
