Last Thursday I went with Team!Short bus to see My Bloody Valentine 3D.
We were all asked for ID. Fair enough with some of the youngens but for me? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? I haven't been asked for ID in about 10 years. I should be flattered, right? *facepalm*
Cut for SPOILERS...
By some fortunate act of fate, I'd managed to stay spoiler free for the movie so I had no idea who the killer was. I'm very glad that was the case because a lot of the fun was trying to guess who it was.
Deep down, I think I knew all along but I was in denial who it was going to be but it didn't stop me trying to pin the murders on absolutely everyone from the Sheriff to Sarah's kid. (What? You gotta admit that kid looked a little scary peaking out from behind the sofa.)
The title sequence was quite snazzy and there may or may not have been a tiny bit of squealing from our row whenJensen's Tom's picture first appeared. (And that was just from the two guys sitting to the left of Robyn!) However, those squeals paled in comparison to the squeals and gasps heard when 'Tom' appeared on the screen for the first time. He's kinda pretty.
The movie itself was gripping enough and there were times when I even jumped. And FYI - slouching down in your seat doesn't make it any less gory or gruesome.
When it came time for the big reveal at the end I must admit at first I felt a little cheated finding out who the killer was. Since then I've thought about it and I'm pretty cool with it now although I'm going to have to see it again to make sure and perhaps also to see that smirk on Tom's face at the end just before the credits roll. :D
In conclusion:
Jensen Ackles: Damn, that boy oughta be in the movies. I posted a little while ago about how Supernatural could end and I think I may have mentioned I didn't want them to leave the series hanging so we could revisit the boys on the 'big screen'. Well, screw that!!! I want a BIG DAMN SUPERNATURAL MOVIE!
Supermarkets: Thanks to this movie I may end up starving to death. The scene in the supermarket freaked me out and so far I've managed to avoid going to one. I know I'm going to have tobrave one at some stage but OMG!!! *hides*
Mines I realised early on in the movie I probably wouldn't want to visit a tourist mine for a very long time after having seen this movie.
Miners: However, I didn't realise I'd have flashbacks to the movie while babysitting on Saturday night. I was looking after little Campbell and he wanted to watch Winnie the Pooh and one of the characters who turned up on the DVD was this little guy:

Remind you of anyone? ;)
Despite giving me nightmares about Winnie the Pooh characters I really did enjoy the movie and I'll most definitely be seeing it again.

Jensen's talent deserves better deeper roles but let's not complain because it was a fair good movie and had big success.
You SHOULD be flattered :)

I understand what you're saying about roles for Jensen. I found him very of Deanish for a lot of the movie, whereas in other things I've seen him in (TIH, Dark Angel, etc...) he's so very different. I'm sure playing Tom was a fun him and I have to say I enjoyed his performance the most when his character turned evil. I loved Evil!Jensen and I really want to see more of him. ;)

Dude, Sarah's kid was the creepiest of them all. Ugh.
There were guys that squealed when Jensen came on?? HAHA, FANBOYS! *loves*

WORD! I jumped so bad in one of the scenes.
I really need to re-watch this movie - if only for Jensen, lol. And evil!Jensen. *drools*
I WANT A SUPERNATURAL MOVIE TOO OMG!!!11 How EPIC would that be??
LMAO, the beaver is a miner! That's so cute, roflrofl.

He really was!
I'm sure there were guys who squealed. No one can resist The Ackles!*nods*
Good!Jensen should make room for Evil!Jensen more often.
Imagine an opening scene on the big screen with the Impala roaring down a highway towards the audience... in 3D!!!

god its been sooo long since I have been Ided, seriously!
I think the guys next to me were slightly concerned but then since we squeed at the Friday the 13th trailer they should have realised ;)
dude it was totally the kid doing those killings, Tom was just sweet and covering for him *nods*
gah supernatural movie ftw!

Oh, I forgot to mention the Friday the 13th trailer and how we saw both Jensen and Jared on the big screen... together! (kind of)
Good theory about Tom. He would totally do something like that. Such a nice guy.
If there was a Supernatural: The Movie we should consider buying shares in Village or Hoyts so we get free tickets because by the time we go to a session every single day it's gonna work out expensive. ;)

Was he pretty on screen? Was he? Was he? I'm not sure about how much MBV made at the box office, I hope it's A LOT, because I want to see Jensen on our screens too!
PS: here in Italy we are such big losers that we got it released only in big cities or something (IF it was released, 'cause I've got no real proof), 'cause noone here managed to watch it :(
See how devoted I am, I have a Tom icon and didn't have watch the movie! ;)

Don't tell anyone because this sounds all kinds of cliche and sappy but when he appeared on the screen for first scene after the opening teaser I gasped. He is literally breathtaking. No kidding. *facepalm*
I hope you get to see it at a theatre. *fingers crossed* Of course, he'll still look great on the DVD...just not as big. *nods*

But OMG, I'm so excited even if I'm never gonna see it on screen, and when the DVD comes out I'm buying the FIRST one that touches the ground I swear.
Oh the opening, I saw a piece of it on a very dark and horrible file I found on torrent (yes, I'm that desperate *lol*) and there was this song playing and Jensen getting out of his truck all smoldering and swaggering and WEARING A LONG COAT.
There are things that some blurry distorted bits of Ackles do to me, not even drugs can achieve ;)

Jensen was really really really unpretty. *nods*
(Does that help?)

I was bummed when the killer turned out to be Tom, even though I'm kind of okay with it now. It made sense & I'm glad that it wasn't a stupid twist. That being said, I'm glad he got away at the end. Smirkalicious!
The only thing I had a problem with was the full-on nekkid chick running around the parking lot in her heels. It's not the nudity I have issues with, it's the lack of EQUAL NUDITY!!! Where was nekkid Jensen?!?!?!?!?! *grin*
Bit of trivia: Frank the trucker? That was Todd Farmer, one of the writers.
Jensen is very, very, VERY PRETTY!!!!! Also? Yes please, BIG DAMN SUPERNATURAL MOVIE...NOW!!!!
ETA: one of my favorite effects was near the end when Tom was using the pickaxe to shatter the lightbulbs & every time he'd smash one, The Miner would flicker in for a second. I just thought that was really cool.

*flails* That would be so awesome. Originally, Friday the 13th and MBV3D were going to be released here on the same day. We were making plans months out to see both movies on opening night. Unfortunately the dates changed. Fingers crossed MBV3D is still on when we finally get F13th in a month's time.
I didn't want it to be Tom either but it did make sense. I loved the affect with masks appearing whenever he hit the lights. It looked really good and Tom's smirk at the end was perfect.
The nekkid chick running around the car park was kind of pointless. I don't think it added anything, did it? Well, perhaps a little laugh. *shrugs*
Good point about the equality issues surrounding the nekkid scenes. It would have been only fair that we see Jensen in the same state of undress. He could probably leave the heels off though ;P

I think I want to see it again too. Especially now that I've seen Friday the 13th. :D

Nope. Not just you. XD Dean needs to turn bad, like now!!!
We have to wait a month for Friday the 13th here so I'm going to try to avoid spoilers again. I can guess what happens though... ;)

I can't wait to see it in 3D. 2D kind of sucks when you can tell you're missing out on the fun 3D sections.
I totally picked it that he wasn't dead and when he escaped and did the smirk of evil, I made yay arms :D
A Supernatural movie would be so awesome! It'd be like Serentiy XD
Heh, just make sure you don't go shopping late a night. Stick to daylight hours :)
Seeing this movie reinforces my plan to NEVER STEP INTO A MINE EVER.

It's funny you should say a Supernatural movie would be like Serenity because I've always thought if it were to end prematurely the gang at Supernatural would see us right if they could by way of a movie. :)
It took me about a week but I finally went into a supermarket! *is brave* Still haven't been into a mine... but since there isn't one anywhere near where I live, that's not surprising. ;)
