Hey, Tuesday! Pig 'n a Poke!

★ It's 11:30 o'clock at night and it's currently 31°c (88°f) Who lives where it's a 31°c at 11:30 pm? *sigh* It reached 39°c (102°f) today and the forecast for tomorrow is much the same. *melts*


★ I took Winnie to the vet this evening for a check up after her operation last week. The vet remembered her. Remembered her a little too well from the alleged chaos and injuries she caused when they tried to take her blood last week. He even went as far as to tell me she was the 'second worst cat he's ever treated'. o_O

My sweet little Winnie? Second worst cat he's ever treated? But she's only a little kitten... :(

She was quite relaxed at the vet to the point where she fell asleep in her little cage. But when it was finally her turn to see the vet, as soon as I took her out of the cage and put her on the exam table and the vet approached her she hissed and growled! I've never heard her growl before. I've heard her hiss once when a friend was a little too rough with her (Yes, Buttercup, I'm looking at you) but hiss and growl? Oh, my. I tried to keep her calm by stroking her and she did OK.No scratching or biting. Once he finished looking at her I picked her up and she was all snuggly. ♥ Perhaps Mr. Vet needs to work on his cat side manner. :(

She has to go back on Saturday to have the stitches removed. That should be fun...


★ New episode of Kyle XY = FTW! It was so great visiting with Kyle and the Tragers again.

Flist, who else out there watches Kyle XY? I know whimsywinx and mel_b_angel do and I know Whimsy liked it. mel_b_angel did you watch it yet?


★ New episode of Leverage tonight. If Kyle was the my big TV discovery in 2008 then Leverage is my TV discovery of 2009. It just keeps getting better; it's already come a long way from the pilot. I love how the characters have developed and their relationships with each other. *loves*


★ I think I had something else to say but I can't remember what. It couldn't have been that interesting so I probably just saved y'all 30 seconds reading time which you can put to good use else where.

Winnie is a sweet cat. She has her moments of craziness and, yeah, sometimes she gets a little excited and bites and scratches but if you walk away from her she calms down. She's definitely not a nasty cat so I can only guess that she's terrified at the vet. I probably would be too. She's definitely never hissed or growled at me. :(

If it makes you feel better, our temps here this week range from -1°f (-18°c) this morning to possibly 30°f (-1°c) this afternoon. Tomorrow, Thursday, & Friday we'll be lucky to make it to 20°f (-6°c). Plus, snow!

Right now it's up to 24 F (-4.44C) with a real feel of 11 F (-11) so yay! Ima go tackle shoveling the driveway then off to the VA Hospital to meet up with my Uncle. I hope my car starts, I only have 1/8th tank of gas!

OMG! -18°c/-1°c is way too cold. If I could wrap up some of this heat-to-go and send it your way, I would.

I think it might get down to -1°c during the night here once in every 100 years or so. I'd like to get snow but without the hassles of clearing roads and being cold and wet. :)

I still waiting patiently to see the new episode of Leverage... *sigh*

OMG I would take 31C (88 F) any day of the week. We have had that here in Michigan. And sometimes top that off with a humidity of 100% but not knowing if it is actually going to rain or not.

Right now it is -4.44C (24F) with a real feel temperature of -11.66C (11F) so I am packing my bags & heading to your house. (I hope I got those conversions right? I'm still learning.)

I used to watch KyleXY but they only showed the first season on local TV & I didn't have cable so I lost interest. Sometime soon I'm gonna check out Leverage.

Stay cool, I'll try to send our boogers-in-the-nose freezing temps your way ;)

The vet version of Dr. House would be very scary... I think you might be on to something.

31c is OK during the day but in the middle of the night it's a little bothersome. It makes it kind of hard to sleep. :(

31c with a humidity of 100% would be horrible. We usually have fairly dry heat in here in Melbourne so it isn't too bad and luckily we don't get too many really hot days.

I can never remember how to do the conversions... I'm afraid I rely on google.com to do the work for me. ;)

Leverage is very entertaining. It's a lot more amusing than I thought it would be.

*raises hand* In the summer hre, it can get up to 122°F. I've seen it up to 95°F at 11:30pm, too. Las Vegas gets pretty hot during the summer. ;)

I'm glad her vet visit wasn't too traumatic. Poor baby.

122°F!!! Yikes! Now that is hot! I'm not a fan of the hot weather but I can deal with it as long as it doesn't go on for too many days in a row. But when it's hot at night I start getting cranky. lol

This visit to the vet wasn't too bad but I have a bad feeling about Saturday when she needs to get the stitches out. :|

Yeah, it gets crazy hot here in the summer. And it's hot like that from about mid-April through the end of September. I can handle the 90s, but when it hits 105°F? It's just fucking hot. There's no way around it. :X

I'm sure she'll be fine. Will they sedate her to take them out, too?

I was in Vegas in November 2006 and I remember it being quite nice around that time of year. I can't believe you guys got snow last month! That would have been crazy having such extremes.

The vet said having to sedate Winnie to get the stitches out would be 'worst case scenario'. She was calm...ish when I was there so hopefully I'll be able to hold her still long enough for them to do what they need to do. *fingers crossed*

Winnie is fine. :) She was spayed last Thursday and had to go back to get a check up yesterday and then has to go back on Saturday to get the stitches out. When she had the operation she gave the vet all kinds of trouble. One of them ended up with scratches up his arms. I'm afraid they are going to add a 'dangerous animal' fee to her future visits. ;)

Yuk. I hate it when that whole weather thing happens. Today it was -22 degrees F when I woke up this morning.

Poor Winnie! I think that says something about that vet. But she's a fighter and that amuses me. Yup, she's a Winchester.

I didn't even know how much I missed Kyle XY until I watched it again last night. *bounces* Now, if only Tom would come back my life will be complete. (Although, Jessi still bugs me, even though I feel sorry for her, too.)

I think I just hate weather in general. ;) I never seem to be satisfied.

-22f! I'm not sure I could function in those kind of temperatures. Hope it warmed up a little bit for you. I'm not sure what the coldest weather I've ever been in is but I'm thinking it wouldn't be anything less than -5c. I'd be totally unprepared. lol

It looks like it's going to be a good season of Kyle XY. I'm sure Tom will be back and I know what you mean about Jessi, however, I was really impressed with her that she went to look for Kyle when she knew he was in trouble.

Hope you enjoyed Leverage. I'm still waiting to see it...
