How's everyone doing?
I'm still house sitting and I still have limited internet access and it kind of sucks (the limited internet access not so much the house sitting). I do try and read everything you guys write but I just don't have a chance to comment as much as I'd like.
As well as house and Rainbow (cat) sitting, I've also been entrusted to look after some goldfish.
I'm pretty sure the owner of the house hasn't named the fish, or at least not all of them anyway, so I took it upon myself to do just that.

There are three ponds - the rectangular one to the right, and two square ones, connected by a large pipe, on the left hand side.

Dean (the blonde fish) and Sam (the darker, regular goldfish coloured fish) live by themselves in the rectangular pond. They are both fairly stealthy and kind of camera shy.

The two square ponds are home to Bobby, Ellen, Andy and Ash, and all the 'special fish' like them.

Theses ponds may look like little goldfish oasises (sp?), however, there is much danger lurking. Rainbow decided to help me feed the fish on Sunday morning and as I was feeding Sam and Dean, Rainbow was keeping a close eye on the special fish.
I heard a splash and I turned around to see Rainbow with her nose close to the water and a paw reaching into it. I yelled her name and rushed over expecting to see a little orange tail hanging out of her mouth but she just meowed at me and slunk away. I like to think she was ashamed of her actions. (Perhaps she needs to join a support group - "Fish are friends, not food!")
And then I saw it. Lying on the tiles behind where she had been sitting, was a tiny little goldfish. OMG! I think it was Andy! Carefully I picked Andy up and placed him back into the pond. He swam away into the murky depths. I have heard goldfish only have a memory span of three seconds. For Andy's sake, I hope that's true. Poor little guy.
Why, yes. While housesitting by myself, with only a cat for company, I do get bored and lonely and spend my time naming goldfish. What made you ask?

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome! Hey, if he's anything like the Real Andy, that traumatic event is already long gone from his little goldfish-brain. Poor Rainbow...maybe she was just trying to give the fishies some kisses?!
What a neat little set-up! Although, I would have already fallen in a few times.

Aw and you should have let Rainbow the cat eat just one, I'm sure the owner wouldn't have notices HAHAHAH. Get the cat a treat! j/k

The other day I worked with a guy who could have been Andy/Gabriel's brother.

I love Nemo so much. It's my favourite animated movie ever! So quotable :)

I'm sure Sam and Dean and the special fish would have like to have been able to wave back to him too.

The only problem is the fish kind of all look alike. Shhh, just don't tell them I said that ;). I'm afraid I'm going to confuse Andy for Ash and Kubrick for Bobby and... who knows where it's going to end ;)

The funniest thing with Rainbow was that she had no idea what happened to the fish. She must have swiped at him in the pond with her paw and because he was so tiny she didn't actually feel him with her paw, so she's looking down at the water to find him. She didn't realise that she'd actually got him and flicked him out of the water and behind her. Andy is very lucky she didn't turn around :)
Edit: I meant to also so - I have never fallen into the ponds but a couple of years back Rainbow did! That day I was inside and I heard an almighty SPLASH! I ran outside and there's Rainbow struggling to get out of the pond. That day she pushed her luck while trying to catch one of the little fish ;)

It's a lovely home. It's in an inner suburb, so space is limited but they have made very good use of space. The little courtyard with the ponds is really nice, especially during summer. It's been too cold to spend anytime out there this time.
I couldn't let Rainbow eat one of the fish!!! I would have felt terrible! :) The cat is pretty spoiled... she always gets some chicken or steak when I have it. She doesn't do too badly at all ;)

Thank you. There are more fish in the pond. John, Ava, Meg, Jo and Bela aren't pictured ;)

The things boredom will drive you to do ;)
Only two more sleeps till Friday! \O/

The freaky thing is, the cat's eyes are kind of yellow...ish too. She's beginning to freak me out ;)
31 doesn't seem too bad at all, does it. Another sleep and we'll be in the twenties, and then it's just around the corner. \O/

They are lovely fish and some of them are so very small. So small to be in such a large outdoor pond having to protect themselves against 'evil' cats and birds ;)
The house is ace!

I've been meaning to ask you a little favour - Do you happen to have Season 7 AVIs of Smallville? I was hoping either you or Sian would have it. I'm trying to watch all 7 seasons before the Season 8 premiere in only 30 sleeps time. Seasons 1-6 I have covered on DVD (I've almost finished S5) but Season 7 isn't even a 'Coming Soon' release here yet. Thanks :)

Nice job, saving Andy from the Yellow Eyed Demon. That was a close one!
I adore Finding Nemo. It's my favorite Pixar movie. Oh, and I don't know which episode you're up to now, but the Lexana gets worse. Much, much worse.

LOL Love it that you named everyone *grin*

Rainbow's support group seems to be working well... no recurrences of the incident so far. *keeps fingers crossed*.

Andy was pretty lucky. I'm just wondering what goes on during the day when I'm not there. :)
Finding Nemo is my favourite Pixar movie too. So many great characters, moments and quotes. It never gets old. :D
I'm up to 6x05 (I think). I'm really not sure how I feel about the whole Lex & Lana thing. But I'm not convinced I want Clark & Lana together either. Poor Clark is having a rough time on his own at the moment. He seems so lonely. Last week I watched the episode where he drew the self portrait, telling the little girl she may not be able to tell the difference between it and a photo! That was pretty cute. :) I'm liking Jimmy so far but I'm not sure about the Green Arrow. Not sure about his motives and I kind of fear for Lois. *lol* Also, I miss Jonathan. The Kents were like the perfect family. *sigh*

I'm not sure if naming them all was a good idea. I lost 'Kubrick' this morning. He had not been well :(

But you have to name them at some point, they deserve names..

I liked Clark and Lana in the beginning, but not so much anymore. In fact, the only guy I ever thought Lana should end up with was Jason. I thought KK and Jensen had really good chemistry together. But I know what you mean about Clark being lonely. The show never seems to let him be happy anymore. But I have high hopes for S8 in that regard.
I adore Oliver, and I like Jimmy, too. Although I'm notoriously easy when it comes to characters played by cute, charming guys like JH and AA. :) And I miss Jonathan, too. *sighs with you*
