Have we all seen the new interview with Jared?
[livejournal.com profile] nyaubaby has posted links here.

Jared talks about the UK 'Scary just got Sexy' ad and explains he is the scary part and Jensen is the sexy part.
Okay, so...
First of all, Jared totally thinks Jensen is sexy. Awesome.
Second of all, if 'Jared = Scary' and 'Jensen = Sexy' and 'Scary just got Sexy' than 'Jared just got Jensen'. Awesome.

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."

  1. I don't really like alcohol so I don't really drink. Depending on the event I have been known to partake in a Crown Lager (beer) or seven but it all depends on the situation and the company. Vodka Cruisers are okay but they are just like drinking cordial. If I had to name my favourite alcoholic beverage I'd have to say Jelly Shots. Do they count?
  2. I have two tattoos. Both are Melbourne Storm related. The first one I got in 1999 when Melbourne Storm won their first premiership. It's on my right hip. It's the cloud part of the the club logo, including the word 'Storm', with '1999' written underneath. The second one is on my right shoulder blade, which I got last year when Melbourne Storm won their second premiership. It's just the word 'Storm' from their logo. I'm concerned they may win again this year... Where am I going to put the next tatt?
  3. I bite my nails. I always have done. It's a disgusting habit, I know, but I do. I bite 'em real good too.
  4. I've read fanfic since my first year in University, which is pretty much the same time I discovered the internet. It was the summer of 1993. It started with Mulder/Scully fic. A couple of weeks later I discovered slash. I have never not read it since. X-Files, The Sentinel, Star Trek: Voyager and Supernatural. For some reason, I have never read Buffy fanfic. I never felt the need to. I guess I got everything I need from the TV show itself.
  5. I saw Titanic fifteen times at the cinema.
  6. My hair started going grey when I was about fifteen. I dye it every now and then when the grey gets too much but I only dye it close to my natural colour. Sometimes I go wild and get a dark brown instead of a medium brown.
  7. I am a qualified Child Care / Kindergarten teacher, however, I do not work in that field. Once upon a time I did but I haven't for nearly eight years.

Kind of generally tagged by a few people:

List five things that make you deliriously happy about Supernatural. It can be anything, but it has to make you happy.

  1. Sam and Dean Winchester.
  2. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.
  3. Everything about Sam and Dean's relationship - How much they need each other. How much they are willing to do for each other. How much they love each other.
  4. Winchester Family Friends - Bobby Singer and Ellen Harvelle
  5. The pop culture references.

I saw that interview with Jared yesterday evening and I literally squeed out loud when Jared says 'I'm the scary part, Jensen's the sexy part." ♥ My slashy heart can only take so much! *sigh*

My first experience with fanfic was Mulder/Scully as well. :) I'd read every MSR story I could find, though preferably non AU. I still have that with SPN too, I don't read much AU. I never even considered slash. After the X-Files I haven't read much fanfic. Actually almost non at all, maybe a little bit of Ron/Hermione after the 6th book of Harry Potter came out. Even though I watched a lot of tv shows I've never felt the need to read more fanfic. And then SPN came along. And now I can't go a DAY without having had a "healthy" dose of RPS or Sam/Dean fanfic. The slash owns me now! :P

Cool that you saw Titanic at the cinema 15 times. I have seen it 5 times at the movies, not so much for the movie (which I still loved of course), but I LOVED the Titanic itself. I was 15 when the movie came out, and one day I sat down and made a Titanic maquette (is that the right word?) in cardboard paper with just some pictures of the boat as reference and a ruler to get some of the scale right. I'm still proud of how it turned out to this day! :) My obsession with the Titanic is gone now, but I still love to look at my cardboard boat!

I know! People seriously can't wonder where we get these crazy ideas from, can they? The J2 stuff practically writes itself these days. *nods*

Back when I was reading X-Files a lot, I manly stuck to Mulder/Scully but I was kind of partial to Mulder/Skinner. There wasn't much around though because for some reason most people thought Mulder/Krycek was a good idea. o_O I could never read that. I don't think I ever read AU X-Files. OOh, except for one really good one when they were both drafted into serving during World War 3.

I started reading SPN fanfic was because I wanted to read someone's take on what would happen if Sam and Dean met Mulder and Scully, so I did a search for X-Files/Supernatural crossover fic. The first link in Google was to Sam-Dean Slash Archive. I admit I kind of freaked, thinking "Ewww... Brothers!" *lol* Curiosity got the better of me though ;) I love RPS and even though I initially avoided AU... well, it's all AU but, you know, real AU where they are teachers or singers or farmers, etc... I can't get enough of it now. :P

Wow, your Titantic sounds great. I went through kind of Titanic phase for a while and I'm still fascinated in the stories. A couple of friends and I went to Canada a few years back and we went to Halifax, Nova Scotia. While there we went to the maritime museum which had a huge Titanic exhibition and we also went to the cemetery where a lot of the victims were buried. That was all amazing to see.
