No, I don't mean Kirrin Island... I mean Phillip Island.
We went down for the afternoon and guess what? It wasn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be. Yeah, thanks Lauz for organising that.
I ended up driving down by myself since I kinda sorta overslept. Not that it was my fault. I blame the internet completely. If only it was faster I wouldn't have been up so late. The drive down surprised me. It wasn't as far as I remember it being. But then again, I've never driven down there myself. I've only ever been a passenger and trips take so much longer when you're riding shotgun. It also helped that my trip down was broken up by some fangirl babbling on the phone to Lisa about the implications of All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1. It's gonna be along week...
The house on the island is only a couple of minutes stroll to the surf beach so we ventured down there after lunch. Ah, the beach. The sand. The salt water. The smell. The dangerous aquatic creatures. Seriously, those Penguins on that island are killers! 'K, didn't see any penguins but there were seagulls.
