☀ Here I am on Day 2 of my annual leave (not including the weekend) and all I've done is watch Martha Stewart, Ellen, The View, Ready Steady Cook, old episodes of A Country Practice, and the occasional episode of Leverage. *is being lazy*
☀ Victoria was on 'Fire Alert' again today because of the high temperatures and high winds expected. Around 300 schools across the state were closed as a precaution, including the school across the road from my house. *gulp* Can you believe it? While school kids across the other side of the world were having a 'Snow Day', kids here were having a 'Fire Day'. Luckily, it was nowhere near as hot as expected and the wind seemed to have less impact than expected.
☀ Speaking of wind, let me share with you this little bit of advice:
If it hasn't rained during the past 13 years and it's a really, really, really windy day, you probably shouldn't rely on a screen door.
The wind blew a whole heap of dust throughout the house. The dirt on my hand is from merely running my hand over the kitchen table!!! It looks like we haven't cleaned inmonths years but that's only about 7 hours worth of dust you're looking at! You should have seen the floor!
☀ It's raining now and has been for the past four hours. \O/ I moved my car out from under the carport into the rain so it could have a shower. I'm hoping some of the dirt and grime that's accumulated on it will wash off.
☀ It's Tuesday but there's no Leverage. :( Is it June yet? Apparently they are filming the new season in in Portland, Oregon. Does anyone live in Portland? Can I come visit? Please?
☀ Once upon a time I used to watch another TV Show which starred two extremely talented guys, who also happen to be extremely hot, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padasomething.
It seems like only yesterday I looked up a new show called Supernatural on IMDB.com and said, to no one in particular,
"Hey, Jared, you're that dude from Gilmore Girls and Jensen... sorry, dude, I have no idea where you're from."
Hard to believe it was almost four years ago.
Today, I still watch Supernatural and I still talk to myself. Just ask work!bff. ;)

If I turn at the traffic lights, I should be able to come around the back somewhere to pick you up? Then from there we'll jump on the freeway (avoiding Swan Street) and hopefully make it too Melbourne Central in record time. I can't see it being a problem at 9pm. :)

Sounds like the rain has stopped now. :( That's probably all we are going to see for March...
I watched GG from the get-go and I never knew how to pronounce Jared's name! It's so funny thinking back on it now because, honestly, what's so hard about trying to spell or pronounce Padalecki? :D

And I can't wait for S2 of Leverage!! I finally got to watch the Second David Job yesterday, it was brilliant!! Is it June yet?? *look around frantically*

I loved the finale of Leverage. It's got me wondering how episode 2x01 will start which is the idea, I guess. I cannot wait!
It was a really dirty table! It's right next to the door which is why it was covered in dust. The dust must have been blown through the flyscreen door and just settled on the table... and under the table... and on the floor around the table. When I was reading the paper on it this morning, it wasn't dirty at all.

Yeah, they left us hanging quite heavily...*glare* I finished watching muuch the same way I've watch the second movie of POTC quote: "What??? You can't finish like that!!!" *indignate* *g*
All this wind and dust remind me of my dorms on the base when I was still in the army... the building was right next to planes runway, there was no cleaning that room completely.. very frustrating... not to mention noisy *thoughtful*

You should definitely watch Leverage. It's so much fun. You have to suspend your belief in how certain things come about while watching it but that's all part of the fun. (Once you've seen it, you'll hopefully understand what I'm talking about.) It's just so entertaining. :)
Also, the sequence it was aired in is pretty different from the intended sequence. If you have the chance, I'd recommend watching it in the intended order which is;

In the case of episodes 10 and 11 I know they were switched around because there was some background footage in The Juror #6 Job which wasn't 'cleared' in time for airing. Not really sure what that means but I guess it was held up for legal reasons. A similar thing may have happened with the other episodes too I guess.

Sorry, I'm no where near Oregon.
Even though I watched the pilot episode of Supernatural & said to no one OMG! They're playing Metallica's Enter Sandman! I love this show already! But the next time the pilot was aired I went Black Sabbath? Still cool but what happened to Metallica? And some scenes were cut! Then I went to imdb.com and said to no one Jared...sorry dude I have no idea who you are. And Jensen...dude, no idea. But wait! Kim Manners! and John Shiban! Both from the X-Files! Awesome!
Yes, you better get out there & enjoy holiday, unfortunately it will be over before you know it.

Ha! I did the Kim Manners and John Shiban thing too!!! Before I watched it I also read a review about the show being compared to Buffy and X-Files and I remember thinking, wow, that's some big shoes to fill! I think it stepped up. :)
I didn't realise they'd changed the music or cut the scenes. Wow. That makes me want to go back and see what we saw on TV here first. I'm guessing it was the cut episode.
My holiday is already half over but I've been relaxing and not thinking about a great deal, so it's all good. :)

The uncut episode with Metallica instead of AC/DC (Oops I realized I said Black Sabbath in my previous comment, I meant AC/DC) was only aired one time, I think Tuesday night. The altered version was aired, iirc although it was 4 years ago, the following weekend. So, yeah, you probably never got the unaltered version.

There's the deleted scene on the DVDs where Dean looks at his watch and then turns the car around and presumably drives back to Sam. I've never worked out what the deal with the watch was. Also, there is a wide angle shot of Dean doing a u-turn in the Impala and Sam is sitting in the passenger seat even though we know he's lying on his bed eating cookies. No wonder that scene was cut!

Oh, yes that's right. Although in the original, I distinctly also remember the radio going wonky as well which, between that & his watch (which I *think* stops momentarily) indicated to Dean that YED was somewhere near.
It may also have been cut because I don't *think* they know about stuff like that until John explains about all of the YED-is-in-the-area indications in "Salvation". But then, some details of season 1 & 2 are already fading from my memory so I could be wrong.

After a day like that I hope you got to take a nice soak in the tub or at least a long hot shower.
One of my favourite things about those photos is they were taken very early on in the series. I can't remember exactly when but I'm sure they are from early S1. Their fondness for each other is already evident. :)

It was kind of funny during the day because Winnie was running around the house and sliding out on the tiles when she tried to turn corners. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with her but she must have been sliding on the layer of dust on the floor.

It's rained a little bit but nothing major. Well below average for many many years. It's so dry... I've almost forgotten what green grass looks like.
