Luckily I don't think I need to go find a crossroad demon just yet.

These little miniature cars are released each year for all the clubs in the NRL. This little Mini Cooper was from a few years back. 2004, I think. In other years we've seen a Land Cruiser, a Rav4, some sporty little Nissan, etc...

They are nice.
They are cute.
They are not being made anymore!

Since 2003 or 2004 I have been running an NRL football tipping competition called Tristo's Tippin'. Entry is free. There is no cash prize. It's all about bragging rights and glory and THE TROPHY!

These little cars are the trophy each year. I buy one of these little babies. Paint up a bit of craft wood. Attach the car. Attach a name tag. And ta-dah! Trophy!!! They look something a lot like this:
(Excuse the bad bad photo. The trophy looks marginally better in real life)

So, what exactly am I supposed to use this year? *pouts*

RE: What you could do instead.

Maybe you could write a 4 page letter to whoever wins explaining what you would have done had there been a little storm car available. If you did this a trophy strategically missing a car I think would be accepted.

Maybe you could paint up a little matchbox car saying "Makeshift Storm Car" and just stick that onto a trophy too...

Thanks Lauz. Like the matchbox car idea. I actually do have a little teeny tiny plan simmering away. It's just going to be a lot more work then the 'old' way... and might end up looking a whole lot more crap! *grin*
