She is OK but there was a ladder involved in making sure she was OK.
On the weekend I'm just going to let her stay up there and see if she can get down. I think she just likes climbing and being high. It's not as if she's meowing or distressed while she's up there. She just attacks leaves and twigs! It's me, on the ground, watching her, who's distressed. LOL.
That happened to Aidan a while back. He got out, and I figured "no harm, let him sniff around and eat some grass for a while". Oh ho! He had other ideas. Five minutes after being outside, he's 20 feet up in the neighbor's pine tree, staring at me and meowing as if to say, "Mama! It's high up here. Halp!" Little creep. He made his way down eventually, but it was scary there for a few minutes.
She did get down okay... with the help of a ladder.
Oh, Aidan! Lucky he got down. Does he not go outside?
Winnie would probably be able to get down by herself but it was getting late and she was showing no signs of wanting to come down. She was happy up there attacking the leaves and gnawing on twigs.
That's exactly what I was calling for the entire 20 minutes she was up there... "Winnie!!! C'mon, climb down." "Winnie!!! NO, don't go higher!" "Winnie!!! Do you want so biscuits?" *rattles biscuits* *Winnie climbs higher* "WINNIE!!!"
One minute she was on the ground, sniffing around a small shrub. The next, she was bolting across the garden and climbing straight up the tree! Seriously, it took her about 2.4 seconds to get from the ground to where she is in that photo! She's so fast... and silly!

That's exactly what we needed - A ladder! She wasn't coming down by herself anytime soon. *facepalm*
