1) Mood Theme.
There was a time when I would always use the mood theme thingy but lately not so much. That's about to change because I got myself a new mood theme. *snoopy dance* The wonderful and extremely patient (you gotta be both to make a mood theme) [livejournal.com profile] insaneboingo has created a Steve Carlson Mood Theme. Ace!

2) Jared doing the robot and Jared shirtless from New York Minute - ICONS

3) Jeffrey Dean Morgan #1 - VIDEO
A couple of weeks back I posted about seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan on The View. Well, the episode was repeated last night and I was able to record it and upload it to YouTube, if you're interested.

5. Supanova Photos
I never got around to posting my official photos with Jared and Jewel from Supanova so, here they are.

Jareds Angels_cropped
Jared's Angels.
After much discussion, we decided to do the 'Charlie's Angel' thing for our group photo on the Sunday. Jared was ace about it. When we told him what we wanted to do he simply said, "I'll just act cool." Personally, I think he nailed it. *nods*

Here be three more... )

6) How's your weekend / long weekend?

( May. 25th, 2008 09:22 pm)
The incredibly sweet [livejournal.com profile] ohbooth attended the LA Con back in March (was it really that long ago???), where she had the opportunity to see Steve Carlson Live! She managed to take some great photos of him which she very graciously let allowed me use to make some icons.

Words are kind of failing me today but OMG!!!
In five sleeps time I will be breathing the same air as
Nathan Fillion!!!

[livejournal.com profile] bobbinrob and I are off to see Nathan and Ron Glass, here, on Sunday.
*is terribly excited*

Also, today is Tuesday 6th May which happens to be the day Steve Carslon's new album, Stripped Down, is released. *is terribly excited some more*

I was hanging out for on iTunes but when I was still waiting at eight o'clock this evening I decided to go with CDBaby instead and now I have 12 shiny new MP3s on my MP3 player and a shiny new CD on it's way via snailmail. Yeah, I bought it twice :D

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] raputathebuta I've been listening to Steve Carlson's new album, Stripped Down, via his website He's recorded an awesome version of Be My Baby and I can't wait to get the album and OMG there are only nine sleeps to go! \O/ Finger's crossed it's available on Aussie iTunes straight away.

Besides listening to the new songs, I was poking around and stumbled across the lyrics section for the new album.

Am I the last person to know Steve co-wrote a couple of tracks with a certain 'J.Ackles'?

If anyone reads/writes a fic based on 'Where My River Flows' you'll be sure to let me know, right?

I went to see Sweeney Todd last night. I don't want to say too much, in case people haven't seen it, but it's definitely not for the squeamish.

Johnny Depp is truly incredible. How he manages to ooze so much charm whilst portraying such a deranged character is beyond me. I admit, however, to thinking at least once, 'ooh, that was a bit Captain Jack Sparrowish.

Oh, and I was also deliriously happy to be able to play 'Spot the former-Buffy actor' in a teeny-tiny, one line, talking bit-part.

Word on the street is there’s a new episode of Supernatural on tonight.

That means I’ve got about an hour before I enter a self-imposed LJ blackout in an attempt to avoid all spoilers for the next 12-15 hours or until I finally get to see the episode myself.

You all enjoy it now and I’ll see you on the flip side.

And now I’m going leave you with another striking photo of Steve Carlson.

CUT: For size and rugged beauty. )

Happy Supernatural Day!

This flyer for Steve Carlson's gig in L.A. tonight arrived via email today.

CUT: For size and prettiness. )

I don't know about anyone else but this photo of Steve makes me really, and by really I mean really, want to see him live and in person.

  1. I've had a busy and down right crappy week at work which goes a long way to explaining the lack of journal postage this week. You know, it's been one of those weeks where everything everyone does kind of pisses you off because everything everyone does is kind of stoopid? Yeah, okay, so I'm being a grouch. I really would love to be Little Miss Sunshine ALL the time. But, yeah, that's just not me.

  2. Yesterday, I signed up for missing_spn. I have this idea in my head about what it is I want to do, and now, I've just got to figure out how to do it. The challenge ends October 3, so I have a little under a month to get my shit together. *is nervous* Damn, my momentary lapses of sanity. *g*

  3. Hey, that means it's also less than a month to the Season 3 premiere. Are we all excited? The first episode stills have been released here. Yeah, I took a little peek. So much for being 'Spoiler Free in Season 3', 'eh?

  4. Steve Carlson wants me at his gig, in LA, again this Saturday night. I really hate having to turn him down all the time... *sighs* Whilst on the subject of Steve Carlson, those KANE CDs I got last week, TOTALLY rock. Especially the Live album.

  5. 'Hairspray' starts here next week. Should I go see it? YES/NO

  6. I'm about two-thirds of the way through SUPERNATURAL: Nevermore, and, oooh boy, do I have questions. At the moment the book looks like one of my text books from school. It has random Post-Its stuck to pages where I've had serious WTF! moments, and to be fair, even a few FTW!, moments. I'll be finished with it tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to put some coherent words together about it.

  7. I had my hair cut tonight. Seriously chopped. I've had about two inches off and I now have little bangs. *gulp* I haven't had bangs for about three years. Not sure about it yet but I'll hold judgement until I've washed it and styled it myself.

  8. Friday tomorrow \o/
Check out what was waiting on my desk when I got to work this morning:

Kane Kane Acoustic Live in London

Lisa ~ I'll bring your copy to the game on Sunday, 'kay.

Friday tomorrow. Yay!  That is all.

EDIT: There was one more thing I wanted to say: Andrew Johns, you really are a dud boy!  *roll eyes*  What a dick!
1). I'm in the middle of making a batch of Waffles to take into work tomorrow. Things have been a bit hectic around the place as of late, with people away sick and on courses, so this is an attempt of sorts to boost morale. We occasionally buy Waffles from the Belgium Waffle stand in Flinders Street Station or Degraves Street but I decided to make some this time. We can just pop them in the toaster, slather on a bit of Nutella or sprinkle some icing (powdered) sugar on, and Bobs your Uncle.

2). I've just finished watching the pilot episode of David Duchovny's new series, Californication. I really enjoyed it. Not sure I'll be tuning in each week but it has the potential to amuse me. One thing I couldn't get over was seeing 'little Gracie' from The Nanny in it! OMG! She's all grown up. *L* And David Duchovny, is... David Duchovny. I think that guy just plays himself in whatever he's in. Bless him.

3). And now I'm indulging in a retro viewing of All Hell Breaks Loose Part Two.
Ten Reasons why this Episode still Rocks My World... )

4). Yesterday, I got another reminder from Steve Carlson about his show in L.A. on Wednesday night. Persistent little bugger, ain't he? Didn't he read my last post about having to pass on this one? *roll eyes* LOL.

5). Melbourne Storm play at home tonight. I think it's the second last home game of the season. Then, the FINAL series starts in three weeks time and our first final is a guaranteed home final as we are currently sitting in on top of the NRL Ladder and we can't finish lower than second place. Unfortunately, we haven't been playing our best footy this past month or so. Isn't it always the way? We were blitzing the competition for the best part of the year and then we get to the business end of the season and , pffftt, we start playing like pebos.
ETA: For [profile] ssstevie's benefit, Melbourne Storm are a Rugby League team! Ssssshhh, Stevie! Why didn't you know that??? Duh! *wink*

6). Waffles are finished and there are now dishes to be done.

Happy Friday or Thursday, depending on where you are on this little planet of ours.

... in Los Angeles.

The boy really needs to work on his timing. I mean, really! I only received the email about 20 minutes ago and he's playing at the Hotel Cafe in L.A. tomorrow night. Even allowing for the 17 hour time difference between here and there, it only gives me less than 26 hours to arrange a flight, get a new passport (current one expires in December and immigration won't let me out of this country or into another country or back in this country or something like that if there are less the 6 months remaining), fly the 16 plus hours from Melbourne to Los Angeles, negotiate my way through LAX and finally negotiate the L.A. road system to find the gig.

Bummer. I really think I'm going to have to pass on this one. Thanks anyway, Steve.
