Hello! Long time no write :)
I can't believe my birthday was a week ago. It doesn't seem that long ago but perhaps that's because it continued over this past weekend.
Friday night I went out to dinner with work!bff for my birthday and then we watched Supernatural 4x07. As much as I love the zany episodes, it was nice to get back to the serious issues at hand. It was also great to see Castiel back. I've missed that little guy!

Saturday afternoon my sister, Jenny, and her two kids, Samantha and Nicholas, dropped by with my birthday present which looked exactly like this:

They got me a little kitty!!!
Her name is Winchester, aka. Winnie, and she is adorable and cute and sooky and snuggly and soft and perfect!

She likes lying in the sun.

She likes sleeping.

She likes chewing on chair legs.

She likes stalking things.

And sometimes she forgets to put her tongue away.
Someone asked what I was going to call her and my nephew, Nicholas, piped up with, "I think it will be something to do with Supernatural".
Oh, man! Am I that predictable? ;)
At the minute, she's asleep on my chest, snuggled into my hoodie. I have a feeling she is going to make doing anything over the next few weeks very very difficult. :)
★ ★ ★
Saturday night I went to my friends Glenn and Tanya's place for dinner with them and Caz, Trent and Campbell.
About an hour after I got there Emma, Lisa, Scott and Ryan turned up - claiming 'they were in the neighbourhood. Half an hour later Jenny. Michael (my brother-in-law), Samantha and Nick turn up, followed shortly after by Mum and Dad. Glenn had arranged a 'reverse' surprise birthday party! Geoff, Genine, Stephanie and Daniel arrived a little while late too. It was an awesome night and I was so touched my friends went through all the trouble of arranging this for me. Apparently they started planning the party back in July! :D
They also spoilt me with more pressies - Country Music Channel DVD, Twizzlers, Goldfish (the cracker variety), Cookies'n'Creme Pop Tarts, things from Smiggle, two vouchers for Minotaur (a store that sells lots of Supernatural stuffs), and a cute mug and candle.
I think my birthday is well and truly over now. :)
★ ★ ★
Today was a public holiday in Melbourne because of The Melbourne Cup. The Melbourne Cup is a horse race.
So, yep, I didn't have to go to work because of horse race. \O/
I love my city!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
Vote well, USA Flisters.
Please. :)

Heehee! I meant 'little guy' in the sense that he's shorter than Dean and Sam. You aren't suggesting I should watch Castiel's
partsscenes more carefully, are you? *grin*From:

oh lucky, I had to work *pouts*

Happy Tuesday!

However, she's been asleep all evening so I have a feeling she will wake up full of life very soon and will be running wild while I'm trying to get to sleep tonight. *grin*
That's a shame you had a to work today but yay for double pay! \O/
I'm glad you are thinking ahead to April! It still seems so far away. That place sounds nice and it's very close. I meant to reply to a post of yours when they announced the venue but got sidetracked. I've been to Moore Park a few times (for the Rugby League) but I've never stayed nearby. The closest I've stayed is Darlinghurst (Kings Cross) but I didn't think that would assist with a few people being allowed to go. ;)

Winchester is beautiful! Such amazing green eyes, just like a certain Ackles. Or Padalecki for that matter. SERIOUSLY, SO ADORABLE. (You'll have to take a picture of her to Sydney so we can watch Jared gush over her. 'CUZ HE LOVES KITTIES TOO, RIGHT?)
I'm so glad you had a (surprise!) birthday bash with family and friends - you deserve it, sweetheart!
And how much do I love that we have a holiday for a horse race? MELBOURNE MUCH WIN.
♥ ♥ ♥
ETA: Those photos are so beautiful, Katy. I forgot to mention that, hee.

Haha! I'm sure Jared loves all kinds of animals.
The surprise birthday party was great. I'm extremely glad it was organised the way it was rather than a tradional 'Surprise Party' were everybody jumps out! I don't think I could have coped with that.
I hope little Winchester gets used to the camera because I'm sure there will be lots more photos taken of her.

My friends are ace. *beams*
I didn't bet on the Cup. I organised and went in a Melbourne Cup Sweep at work but didn't win anything. :(
If I could vote I'd vote for Obama. I'm following the election coverage online. It's all terribly exciting. :D

oh damn. mum did something similar at her work, and coz it was her b'day, she bet on number 4, which came in at 3rd, so she won something at least :D

The first picture is now my wallpaper on my PC at work. Now I've just got to stop minimising everything every 10 minutes just so I can look at her :)

You know what? I think Winnie knows she's adorable. She is going to grow up to be the most undisciplined cat in the world. One look with those big green eyes and she gets her way. ;)
From:

She can get anything she wants with those eyes! She just has to look at me and she gets more food or played with or cuddled. :D
I've gone with 'Winchester' for her name but it's already been shortened to 'Winnie'.
*hugs*

All she needs is a little kitty tiara to complete her Pretty Pretty Princess routine. She's also a big brat.

Hun... but that's not a very female name... :P
But Winnie is cute! XD
*hugs back*
