A while back I wanted to know if you could make little HTML stars similar to the little ♥'s people make. As similar as a star can be to a heart, that is. Thanks to ssstevie  asking the same question the other day, I now know how to make ★!

BUT. And it's a big BUT. Does everyone see this ★ as a star?

On my laptop I see a star.
On my PC at work I see a little box.

To make the star you have to type & #9733 ; (without the spaces)

I was in love with David Duchovny during his X-Files years. He had me at, "Nobody down here except the FBI's most unwanted!". I thought I'd got over it but then I started seeing huge Californication posters of him at bus stops around town and... *sigh*... I think I'm still in love with him. lol.

I thought I'd try the heart because there are two ways to make it;
& hearts ; (without spaces) or & #9829 ; (without spaces).
Usually I use the 'hearts' because I can remember it but since the second way is similar to the stars I thought you may be able to see that too but alas you can't. :(

Did David Duchovny really win the Golden Globe? OMG, that's awesome! (As you can see, I paid very little attention to that past Johnny Depp winning for Sweeney Todd)

I see the star and I'm a Mac user (as you know). HTML confuses me... I think I avoid learning it on purpose until, you know, I absolutely have to do something. How do you do the heart thing anyway?

Have you seen Sweeney Todd yet? I'm not sure if I'll get around to going but it's been getting such great reviews.

Can you see the little hearts on your mac? To get them I use & hearts ; but you need to remove the spaces.

No, I haven't seen Sweeney Todd... Which should surprise everyone since I've always loved Johnny Depp so much! Guess that'll be one of those I'll have to see alone.
