evenindeath)went to see Friday the 13th last night.
Jared was very pretty. A bit orange but still very pretty. I liked his hair.
The movie was kind of terrible and predictable and had way too much random boobage.
I have questions:
1. Who waterskis (un)dressed like that?
2. Why were all the guys (except Jared) douchebags?
3. Why did everyone keep running back to Jason's house?
4. Why was that girl looking for Jason in the bathroom while everyone else was downstairs?
5. Why didn't Jason kill Trent sooner?
6. Why did Jason decide to start killing these people all of a sudden? Trent's dad's house looked like it had been there a while. Presumably they've stayed at the house and gone watersking many a time without provoking Jason into committing mass murder. The first group of kids I understand because they were near his house and were poking around but why does the douchebag and topless waterskier offend him all of a sudden?
And finally, perhaps the most perplexing question of them all,
7. WHO GRABS A WOK FOR PROTECTION WHEN THEY ARE GOING DOWN TO THE TOOL SHED TO RESCUE THEIR STONER MATE AFTER FINDING OUT THERE IS A DERANGED KILLER ON THE LOOSE!?!?!
Seriously? Did Lawrence think he was one of the Knights of the Round Table with hispoker sword in one hand and his wok shield in the other?
Ever so helpfully, an extract from a F13 review in my local paper has answered a few of my questions.
"Herin lies the important message at the heart of Friday the 13th.

It still doesn't answer #5 though. *sigh*
Despite it's shortcomings - and there were many - I actually had a good time watching it with team!shortbus. Much laughing, drooling, and talking was had. :)
In conclusion: If Jared is in Friday the 13th: The Wok Strikes Back, I'll probably go see it.
