Melbourne is melting. Again.
A few minutes ago it was 45.6°C (113.72°F).
The hottest temperature ever recorded in Melbourne, prior to today, is 45.6°C (114.08°F) in 1939.
OMG! We are 0.1°C away from breaking the record for hottest temperature ever recorded in Melbourne.
EDIT: According to the Bureau of Meteorology website, Melbourne's highest temperature today (so far) was 46.4°C (115.52°F) at 3:04PM.

When it comes to converting the temps from ºC to ºF, Google is my friend! There's no way I could do them in my head. ;)
Enjoy your cool weather! 45ºF (7ºC) sounds lovely right about now. :P

It's horrible. I've got a fan on but it's just got to the stage where it's just blowing super hot air around. :(

I'm very unhappy with this news. 43 is one thing but 45.6?? UGH.
I'm dying even being indoors with the A/C! :(

That heat? That's the norm for us during the summer. But, regardless, it still sucks.

Maybe you'd like to come to my town...
Actually there are -2 °C here... *rofl*
And while you need a shower to cool down,
I need a coat to keep me warm! That's ironic!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!! *hugs*

It normally gets hot here during summer but the really hot days are interspersed with much longer periods of cooler days.
It's lovely today though. :)

The weather around the world seems to have gone crazy!
Down here in Victoria it hasn't rained, like, forever and it's so dry. Those conditions combined with the high temps and high winds yesterday have seen hundreds of bushfires burning out of control around the state. All the while, up in Queenland it hasn't stopped raining for days/weeks and they have severe flooding. Just crazy. :(

We were very lucky and have not been affected by the fires. So, so many other people weren't so lucky.
*hugs*

We're fine. The fires are far enough away that they weren't a threat to us. It's so sad that so many other people weren't nearly as lucky. :(

gosh i know! i was just watching the news today and i am utterly shocked at the extent of the devastation. it's so depressing to see all those people with their stories of what they've lost, and all the family memebers that they're lost. i can't imagine how hard it would be to face all that and have lost all your possessions :(
