The end is looming over us or at least I feel it is. Especially when Dean and Sam start discussing life, and death, after the hunt. :(
Out of 1 & 4 I'd prefer to see #4. I just can't see how the 'happy ending' would work. Perhaps I'm just being mean to our boys. :P
Having said that, I remember thinking after watching the S2 finale, if the show hadn't been renewed I would have been content with the ending and S2 ended with 'We've got work to do.'
I don't think it can end well and I suspect the intention was always to make it end 'badly'. I just hope the prospect of bringing the boys back at a later date doesn't change things too much. It's hard though because if there's a chance they could come back I'd love it, of course, but I don't want the original story compromised. Know what I mean? I guess I want everything! lol
I don't envy Kripke on making these decisions and it's horrible thinking about all this. *hugs*
