The Weekend So far...

1). Team!Shortbus Outing Yesterday: After much indecisiveness, we settled on seeing 'Tropic Thunder'. I lost count on the number of people we let go in front of in the queue because we couldn't decide. It was a pretty funny movie and not at all what I expected. All I knew about it was that Jack Black was in it (that was the selling point for me) so I was surprised to see a few other actors in there who, at first, I didn't even recognise!

2). Before the movie we headed up to JB Hifi (DVD/Music store). The do good out of Team!Shortbus! I picked up a copy of the, 'Friday Night Lights' (the movie), for $12.98 and then, just near the checkout, we spotted copies of Eric Kripke's 'Boogeyman for $6.89! Score! \O/

3). [livejournal.com profile] chasingangel82 has just got back from a trip to Vancouver and LA and she spoiled us by bringing us back gifts. Thanks Bec :)

4). Last night I was working on the laptop at the coffee table. I got up to do the dishes and look what I found when I got back...

5). It's Father's Day today so I've got to get moving so I can go home with Dad's present this afternoon.

6). And then, tonight I'm going to the final regular season Melbourne Storm game. As a result of previous games this weekend, Storm must win their game tonight by about 28 points to finish on top of the ladder. *gulp*

1. Sounds like a good time!

2. Score!!

3. Pooh Bear!! *squishes*

4. Silly kitty.

5. Whoops!

6. Go Storm!!!

1. It was!

2. \O/

3. He's very squishable.

4. I'm not really sure what the attraction was with the keyboard. *shakes head*

5. It was a bit of a case of 'whoops' because I had to stop on the way home to get him something, and it proved a little more difficult than I thought. But I made it and he seemed happy with his pressies so it all worked out okay in the end.

6. Storm rock!

Blue steel!

awwww lucky! I'm looking forward to seeing Tropical Thunder. Ben Stiller's the reason I'm seeing it, considering he wrote and directed this one just like he did Zoolander.

(as for famour people in it, that was Tom Cruise in a fatsuit btw. hee!)

Boogeyman seems to be making the rounds on the flist these days. I saw it when it came out; liked the way it was handled in the first two acts of the movie, but it kinda fell flat on its ass in the end. Shame. Kripke's love of urban legends is very evident though.

From what I've seen of Ben Stiller (which isn't much) I'm sure you'll enjoy Tropic Thunder.:) I've never actually seen Zoolander.
OMG! Tom Cruise! I didn't even recognise him to start with. My opinion of Tom Cruise has taken a beating over these past few years but this movie may have changed that a little. *lol*

I'm going to have to make time to watch Boogeyman soon :)

That's a nice picture of Pooh *smishes* And as I've already said you guys are welcome. You couldn't be there so I brought it back for you. I'm sure you would have done the same :D

Ahahahahah cute kitty. *pats* If my kitty even knocks my laptop with her tail I go psycho, so you seem to have some restraint. What was kitty trying to write though I wonder? *thinks*

Pooh is one very photogenic bear. And he's cuddly to boot! Thank you again :)

I think Rainbow was trying to play the cematary dancing scene from the Season Three Gag Reel. It was the window which was active when I dragged her off ;)

Father's Day in September? That's awesome! I'm totally calling my dad to wish him happy Father's day... he won't get it, but I like! When is Mother's day for you?

Silly Rainbow!

[identity profile] blackbirdj2.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 09:23 am (UTC)(link)
LMAO for the cat on the laptop. That looks SO familiar...my earlier cat used to do that too, and then try to bat on the mouse movement with her paws. Ah, how I miss her.

[identity profile] katysam.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 12:10 pm (UTC)(link)
She made me laugh to start with but once I shoo'd her away, it took me a little while to close all the windows she'd opened! *lol*

You previous cat sounds cute. It's amazing how much you miss them when they are gone, isn't it. I haven't had a cat at home since my last cat, Chocky, died over 3 years ago. I still miss her too.
