I hit the city today with my fellow Melbourne girls -

First stop was Pancake Parlour where we were served by a cute waiter who was destined to earn them extra points in their customer feedback survey. Well, if we'd had the time to fill out the customer feedback, that is. We'd only just finished our pancakes when

bobbinrob suddenly realised our movie, Iron Man was scheduled to start, like, now! Has anyone ever tried sculling a Pepsi Ice Cream Soda? I would not recommend it.

Luckily we only missed the trailers because the opening scene of Iron Man was awesome.

Our munchies during the movie, even though we'd just scoffed down pancakes, were Jared!Candy (Fantasy Belts) and Jensen!Candy (Twizzlers). Twizzlers are okay but those fantasy belt things... Holy Crap! They are the best! Thanks

chasingangel82 for bringing them along.

After the movie, we headed to Minotaur where much "oooh'ing" and "aaah'ing" took place over the merchandise.

Next we headed over to Arts Centre where

rose_janice was due to be picked up.
While we were waiting... We Twizzlered.

It's Sunday night and thanks to Labour Day tomorrow, there is still one day left of the weekend! \O/

My weekend got off to a great start on Friday when, despite having to work, the postie arrived with a huge parcel for me before I left for work in the morning.

Of course, I had to open it right away and look what I found...

munibunny sent me Goonies Action Figures to congratulate me on my new job!
I love that she knows me so well that she knew this was a perfect present which I would love so much :D

They are seriously the coolest things ever! They have little accessories with them like the Treasure Map (Mikey!), Pizza (Chunk!), Hair Brush (Mouth!) and miscellaneous gadgets (Data!).

On Saturday I met up with another wonderful friend I've made on LJ,

bobbinrob , and also

ragingquiet26 ,

rip_67 ,

chasingangel82 and

rose_janice . Up until yesterday

bobbinrob was the only one I had on my flist, although I'd seen the others on flists of my flist, and I was a bit nervous about meeting everyone.

ragingquiet26 had said I needn't worry and she was right. Everyone was so sweet and I had so much fun hanging out with them. We saw 'Jumper' and randomly mooched around the city, stopping in at a few stores including JB Hifi, where I got the 'Complete Degrassi High' box set, and Minotaur, where I picked up the second Supernatural novel. Oh, and there was ice cream!

One of the best parts of the day was being able to chat 'Supernatural' all day with people who are equally obsessed with the show. Nobody's eyes glazed over and no one looked at anyone funny when someone brought up something else about the show. (I don't know about anyone else, but that happens to me all the time when I try and discuss the show with rl people I know.)

Thank you guys for a truly terrific day. It was awesome meeting you all and I can't wait for the next Melbourne get together. :)
