We'll stay up late swapping manly stories, and in the morning, I'm making WAFFLES!

1). I'm in the middle of making a batch of Waffles to take into work tomorrow. Things have been a bit hectic around the place as of late, with people away sick and on courses, so this is an attempt of sorts to boost morale. We occasionally buy Waffles from the Belgium Waffle stand in Flinders Street Station or Degraves Street but I decided to make some this time. We can just pop them in the toaster, slather on a bit of Nutella or sprinkle some icing (powdered) sugar on, and Bobs your Uncle.

2). I've just finished watching the pilot episode of David Duchovny's new series, Californication. I really enjoyed it. Not sure I'll be tuning in each week but it has the potential to amuse me. One thing I couldn't get over was seeing 'little Gracie' from The Nanny in it! OMG! She's all grown up. *L* And David Duchovny, is... David Duchovny. I think that guy just plays himself in whatever he's in. Bless him.

3). And now I'm indulging in a retro viewing of All Hell Breaks Loose Part Two.

Ten Reasons why this Episode still Rocks My World

1. Carry On My Wayward Son! FTW \o/

2. Dean's despair over Sam. Over everything. Seeing him standing in the doorway watching his lifeless Sammy *sob*

3. Bobby's despair. It is evident during the face mauling scrapyard scene but at the also at the beginning when Dean shoves him away. The way he turns from Dean, head down, just kinda breaks me. The dude is seriously distressed over what is happening to his boys. We may not know a lot a lot about Bobby's background but I think it's safe to assume he's been around. Seen a lot. If he doesn't know how to fix this... Who does?

4. The immediate change in Dean when he hugs his, recently back from the dead, Sammy. He's just made one hell of a deal with the crossroad Demon, yet, he suddenly looks years younger and he smiles and it's as if his world is lollipops and candy canes.

5. When Sammy is all gung ho, swearing he's gonna tear Jake apart and Dean says, "Whoa, whoa, easy Van Damme!". When I first watched the episode I thought he said, "Whoa, whoa, easy 'Bam Bam'". You know, as in little 'Bam Bam' from The Flinstones? I thought it was adorable that Dean was calling Sammy, Bam Bam. I was really disappointed when I heard it properly. Van Damme is nowhere near as cute... I really should have realised at the time because if Dean was going to call Sammy by a nickname from The Flinstones he would totally go with Pebbles, Wilma or Betty. *facepalm*

6. SCRAPYARD scene! All of it. Bobby admonishing Dean. Dean looking like a lost little boy. Dean pleading with Bobby. Face mauling! Ellen! Ellen!

7. Life Saving Pretzels. FTW!

8. Sammy shooting Jake... SEVEN times! This still gives me chills. His face. *shudder*

9. The brief look the boys share once John has said his goodbyes and moved on up to Demon Hunters Heaven.

10. "Well then..." Dean smiles THAT smile, "We've got wok to do."

4). Yesterday, I got another reminder from Steve Carlson about his show in L.A. on Wednesday night. Persistent little bugger, ain't he? Didn't he read my last post about having to pass on this one? *roll eyes* LOL.

5). Melbourne Storm play at home tonight. I think it's the second last home game of the season. Then, the FINAL series starts in three weeks time and our first final is a guaranteed home final as we are currently sitting in on top of the NRL Ladder and we can't finish lower than second place. Unfortunately, we haven't been playing our best footy this past month or so. Isn't it always the way? We were blitzing the competition for the best part of the year and then we get to the business end of the season and , pffftt, we start playing like pebos.
ETA: For [profile] ssstevie's benefit, Melbourne Storm are a Rugby League team! Ssssshhh, Stevie! Why didn't you know that??? Duh! *wink*

6). Waffles are finished and there are now dishes to be done.

Happy Friday or Thursday, depending on where you are on this little planet of ours.
